Rue de net offices
Rue de Net offices have been downtown Reykjavik, in one of the city's most distinct houses for the last four years. The house was built in 1842, more than 150 years old, but is still in good shape. The Rue de Net office space has been newly restored and fits our purpose perfectly.
Still we don't have very good pictures of the house as it is today, but here are a couple of old ones.
It is not known exactly when this picture was taken, but based on the exterior it is certain that it was way before 1900. The Rue de Net entrance today can be seen in this picture as the door on the left, but the second door has now been changed to a window.
This picture shows the beginning of a day-out-of-the-office trip undertaken by the staff of Th. Thorsteinsson in 1911-1912. All such trips were on horse-back but still wearing your finest. The current offices of Rue de Net are located in the house on the left in this picture. During a period after 1900 the owner of the house named it "Liverpool" after his home in England.
